Keto Garlic Everything Bagel
To make: (makes 5 large or 6 regular size)
Nutrition ea = 400 cal, 32.4 fat, 21.4 protein, 8.5 carbs (4 net carbs)
2 cups almond flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp garlic lovers seasoning or Garlic Powder
1 tsp @traderjoes everything but the bagel seasoning
2 eggs (mixed)
3 tbsp Clotted Cream (or use full fat butter, i.e. Kerrygold butter)
2 oz Cream Cheese
2 Cups Mozzarella (you save carbs by shredding your own! or using whole)
(Note: You can also substitute cinnamon, blueberries, etc. in place of the Garlic seasoning & everything but the bagel seasoning.
Cinnamon Bagels - Mix 1 tbsp Cinnamon and 2 Tbsp Swerve/Sugar Substitute
Berry or Raisin Bagels- Mix 1/4 cup berries at the end with 1 to 2 tbsp sugar substituted
1) Heat in Microwave or on stovetop, Approx 1.5 mins (if using microwave heat in 30 sec intervals. cover the dish bc it will "pop")
* 3 tbsp clotted cream, 2 oz cream cheese, 2 cups shredded mozzarella
Mix all these melted ingredients together until it is "stringy" and combined
2) Combine all ingredients heated and dry together and mix by hand
(if it gets too stringy or is not all combining, just reheat for 30 sec intervals and stir again)
3) Cover a pan with foil & Parchment paper greased with olive oil.
4) Make 6 dough "snakes". Make each snake into an "O" shape.
Top each with whisked egg wash (1 egg) and Everything but the Bagel seasoning.
5) Bake on 425 for 11-15 mins!
6) Let these sit for approx 30 mins before attempting to cut in half. Serve with Cream Cheese, Peanut Butter, Plain etc.
Store these in the refrigerator or freezer and reheat later!
Best storage is via these bags for freshness.
Also these are BEST toasted in a toaster oven or stovetop... they will get stuck in a traditional toaster!!!
Full fat butter - i.e. Kerrygold bricks. The gold salted is ideal. Ketosis depletes you of Salt. On Keto - drink more water - intake more salt - eat more fat!
